Applying for a mortgage is often the most intimidating part of the home-buying process. However, it doesn't have to be. I will guide you through the process and provide that personal touch to what may seem like a very daunting task.
I will explain to you all the steps involved in purchasing your new home, what you can afford and what your options are available to you. My advice is non-biased and I work hard to find the optimal solution for your situation.
The fist step in home ownership is to be informed. Before setting you sights too high or too low, let's discuss what you can realistically afford and what it will take to get a lender to provide you with a mortgage. This discussion is not nearly as focused on rates as it is on your credit rating, document verification and the variety of mortgage terms available.
Pre-approval. Once a mortgage application is completed a pre-approval can be done. At this stage, I will be able to lock a rate in for your for 120 days - giving you peace of mind as you search for your desired property.
Once you have a firm agreement on the purchase of a property, I will update your application with the property details and present a completed file to the most suitable lender. At this stage, the lender may come back with an approval or request for further documentation. If further documents are needed, I will work with you to collect the information and answer any questions you may have.
Finalizing! This is where we meet to sign the mortgage commitment and go over all the mortgage terms and conditions - yes - even the fine print. It is my job to ensure you understand everything you are signing for.
